Kathmandu is the largest city and the capital of Nepal.

Evening, visit Kathmandu Durbar Square and Thamel with Rickshaw ride.
Kathmandu Durbar Square is located in the heart of old city Kathmandu. The founding of the Durbar (Royal Palace) dates back to ancient times. There are around 50 temples in the vicinity. Visit the 17th Century Durbar complex, Hanuman Dhoka, Paravati temple, great Bell and Drum, Bhairav, Taleju Temple and array of temples grouped around it. A few steps away are the Temple of the Living Goddess. All around the splendor of historical monuments is the hustle & bustle of the market place.
Thamel is a popular tourist destination in Kathmandu. Thamel has been the centre of the tourist industry in Kathmandu for over four decades starting from the hippie movement when many artists came to Nepal and spent weeks in Thamel. Its concentration of narrow streets are lined with small shops selling everything from food and provisions to clothes, walking gear, cakes, pastries, music, DVDs, handicrafts, travel agents and budget hotels. The area has some very good restaurants.

Morning yoga and then after breakfast, we will have a half day sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath Temple & Boudhanath Stupa.
Pashupatinath Temple is considered as one of the holiest shrines of all the Hindu temples in the world. The temple of lord Shiva, Pashupatinath, with a tiered golden roof and silver doors is famous for its superb architecture. Entrance to the temple precinct is forbidden to non-Hindus. They will only be able to view it from the eastern bank of Bagmati River overlooking the cremation grounds. This two tiered magnificent golden temple with four triple silver doorways is unique example of the Nepalese temple architecture. It is one of the largest Hindu temple complexes in South Asia with hundreds of Shiva lingams, shrines icons of various Hindu god and goddess insides. It is not known when the temple was founded. Tradition says it was constructed by Pashupreksha of the Somadeva dynasty in the 3rd century BC, but the first historical records date from the 13th century. The Bagmati River, which runs next to Pashupatinath Temple, has highly sacred properties is lined with dharmasalas and cremation ghats.
Boudhanath is the biggest Stupa in Nepal and is located on flat land and encircled by houses & monasteries, where Rinpoches reside. Boudhanath is also known as `little Tibet’ because of its unique atmosphere resembling old Barkhor marketplace in Lhasa. Many Tibetans visit here as a place of pilgrimage and trading. Visit nearby monasteries and mediate for some time with monks and get blessings.

Morning yoga and then after breakfast, transfer back to airport in Kathmandu and fly to Pokhara.
Pokhara is a remarkable place of natural beauty, situated at an altitude of 900m from the sea level and 200km west of the Kathmandu valley. The enchanting town has several beautiful lakes and offers stunning panoramic views of Himalayan peaks. The serenity of lakes and the magnificence of the Himalayas rising behind them create an ambience of peace and magic.
Upon arrival transfer to your hotel in Pokhara.
Later, visit World Peace Stupa where we will meditate and then hike down to Phewa lake and return back by boat.
World Peace Stupa is a Buddhist pagoda-style monument on a hilltop which provides a clear view of the Himalayan range, Fewa Lake and Pokhara city.
Phewa Lake is the largest lake in Pokhara valley, measuring 1.5 by 4km.Annapurna rises directly from the valley floor and seems close enough to touch.
Before dinner there will be yoga. Overnight at your hotel in Pokhara.
Early morning, drive to Sarangkote hill top where we will have a gentle yoga class to prepare us for our walk along the valley ridge to Naudanda (approx 3.5 hrs).
Naudanda offers mesmerizing views of the Annapurna massif and Mt. Fishtail towering over the valley. The trail is gradual up and down hill. The picturesque villages, the soft relief of the hills with their rice fields in terraces, subtropical forests, and the silhouette of the western Himalayas, make the charm of this route.
Drive back to Pokhara (1 hr.)
Rest of the afternoon is free.

Day 5 Pokhara to Bandipur (B/-/D)
Morning yoga and then after breakfast, drive to Bandipur (75 kms/ 3 hrs approx).
Bandipur retains its age-old cultural activities. It still has its temples, shrines, holy caves, innumerable festivals and an architecture that harks back to the Kathmandu Valley of old.
Bandipur provides an unrivalled view of the Himalayan panorama.
Dinner and evening yoga/meditation and then overnight at our hotel in Bandipur.
After breakfast, drive to Chitwan (115 kms/ 4 hrs approx).
Upon arrival transfer to your resort.
Chitwan National Park is one of the best managed parks in Asia and is home to over 50 species of mammals, 55 species of amphibians and reptiles and 525 species of birds. Wildlife that thrives here include; the great one-horned Asian rhinoceros, gaur, wild bison, sloth bear, four different species of deer, the Rhesus monkey and the black-faced langur, the spotted leopard, the fish-eating gharial, the marsh crocodile and the gangetic dolphin among many others. It is also one of the last refuges of the Royal Bengal tiger. The birdlife is varied and a delight forbid lovers.

In the afternoon we will be on elephant safari to explore the jungle and the varied wildlife.
Evening yoga and then dinner and overnight at your hotel in Chitwan.
Before breakfast a simple yoga class to stretch our bodies. After breakfast we will have a full day jungle activities such as jungle/nature walk, dugout canoe ride and tribal village visit etc.
The jungle walk allows you to explore different habitat, from the flood-plain grassland to the dense Sal forests, where you get the opportunity for good animal sightings at your own pace. Since walking is quiet the animals are less disturbed and there is usually a better chance for discovering wildlife. During the walk, you will also get the opportunity to see the different f plants and herbs in the National park and the naturalists will be there to give you full description of the wildlife and herbs.
Floating down on the river by dugout canoe is the best way to discover the habitat of crocodiles on the bank of the river. It is also a relaxing and better way to watch the different kind of aquatic birds and wildlife species when they come to the bank of the river to drink water.

In the afternoon we will go on a walk to the nearby Tharu village. Tharu are indigenous people of the area. They have a distinct architectural style, building solely using natural materials found in the area; straw, wood and mud. The villages are often peaceful, non-industrial havens, with the inhabitants engaged in a yearly agricultural circle.
(Jungle activities may be changed or altered depending on the requirement and situations).
Evening, slide show on flora & fauna of the Chitwan park OR folk dance performance by local tribal group. People of the nearby villages (Tharu) will show some of their traditional skills and melodious tribal dances. Your participation is highly recommended.

After breakfast, transfer to Bharatpur airport and fly back Kathmandu.
Upon arrival transfer to Nagarkote hill en-route visiting Bhaktapur Durbar Square.
Bhaktapur also known as Bhadgaon is the home of medieval art & architecture and still retains its rich medieval aroma. A city of farmers, Bhaktapur is also known for its pottery and weaving. Bhaktapur is the most charming and the best preserved of the valley’s three cities. Visit the ancient gateway, Durbar Square the Royal Residential Quarter of Bhupatindra Malla, Batsala temple, Bhairavnath temple, Dattatraya temple, Pujari Math and Palace of 55 windows. Walk to the famous Nyatapole temple, the five storied temple in pagoda style, the tallest temple in the country guarded by a series of mythical animals and deities.
Situated 2175m above sea level, Nagarkote is a popular tour and hill destination of Nepal. It is famous mountain and sunrise views. Five of the world’s 10 tallest Mountains: Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Makalu (8463m) and Manaslu (8163m) along with many other lesser summits can be viewed from this place (during clear weather). The place is surrounded by the terraced hillside and most beautiful scenery.

After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu and visit Patan Durbar Square.
Patan is also known as Lalitpur or the “city of fine arts” and is the oldest city in the valley. This Buddhist City is said to have been founded by Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BC. Patan is the cradle of arts and architecture of the valley, a great center both of the Newari Buddhist religion and of traditional arts & crafts with 136 bahals or courtyards and 55 major temples. Visit the Krishna Mandir, Hiranyavarna Mahavihar. A tour of Patan would also include a visit to the cottage industries center to watch local artisans work on wood carving and metal objects.
Evening, transfer to authentic Nepali restaurant for dinner with cultural show.
Enjoy authentic Nepali dinner which is usually served with together with `rakshi’, the Nepali rice-wine. They will also present dances performed by different communities of Nepal like Newars, Sherpas, Magars, Gurungs, Tamangs, Tharus etc; using typical music instruments and dances mimicking animals and birds such as; Yeti, Yak and Peacock.
